Aerial View: 5-Truck Collision Scene on I-4 Near Orlando Injures Six

Aerial footage reveals the full scale of a five-truck collision on I-4 near Orlando that injured six people and closed the highway for nearly eight hours.

Editor's Note

Multi-truck pileups often involve multiple liable parties — the trucking companies, their insurers, and potentially the cargo owners. An attorney can identify all responsible parties.

Aerial footage captured by a news helicopter shows the full extent of a five-truck pileup on Interstate 4 near Orlando, Florida on June 2, 2026. The crash, which occurred during morning rush hour, involved five commercial trucks and two passenger vehicles.

Six people were injured, including three truck drivers and three motorists. Two victims were airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center with serious injuries. The remaining four were treated at the scene or transported by ground ambulance.

The Florida Highway Patrol has opened a full investigation. Preliminary reports suggest the crash began when a tanker truck rear-ended a slower-moving flatbed, triggering a chain reaction. Weather conditions at the time included light fog and reduced visibility.

I-4 remained closed in both directions for nearly eight hours, causing significant delays across Central Florida. FDOT deployed emergency crews and a hazmat team due to a minor fuel spill from one of the damaged trucks.
